Orbiz AMS vs Clockify

Prices checked

Clockify is free for five users and cheap per seat after that, with apps on every platform and a timer people like. AMS is the time and attendance tool inside Orbiz: browser clock-in against projects, typed breaks, server-decided idle rules, timesheets with approvals, leave with entitlements and holiday calendars, and records that payroll runs from. Choose Clockify if you are five people or fewer, or you need a desktop and mobile app today. Choose AMS if attendance, leave and payroll should come from the same record as the timer, for everyone, at no per-seat price.

FAQ

Orbiz vs Clockify: what people ask

Is Orbiz AMS free for small teams like Clockify?

No. Orbiz has no free plan; it is one flat price per organisation for all ten tools with unlimited members. A five-person team that only needs a timer is better served by Clockify’s free tier. The comparison changes when the same team also needs leave, approvals, attendance and payroll.

Does AMS have a desktop or mobile app?

Not yet. AMS runs in any browser, including a phone’s; a desktop app with a tray timer and a browser extension are planned but not available. Clockify has both today.

How does AMS handle idle time?

The browser reports evidence and the server decides, using two flags and a threshold your organisation sets: whether to pause on inactivity, after how long, and whether the member may undo a pause. A rule cuts where the evidence ends, and a pause that outlives its undo window can only be reopened by an approver.
