AMS · Time & attendance

Attendance tracking, leave management and timesheets for the whole team

Clock in and out from the browser with break types or import punches from a biometric device, track time by project on personal and team timesheets, send leave and paid time off (PTO) requests to your approvers and read attendance reports — all against the employee records HR already maintains, for every member, with no per-user charge.

Included in every plan. No per-seat charge, no per-tool upsell.

What you can do

What AMS does

See who is working on what, today — clock-ins, breaks, leave balances and timesheets in one place.

01

Clock in, breaks and idle detection

Members clock in and out from the browser and choose a break type. If your organisation switches it on, inactivity pauses the clock after a threshold you set — decided on the server from the browser’s evidence, never by the client.

02

Timesheets with project-level entries

Personal and team timesheets show where the day went. Time is logged against Trackline projects, so hours roll up into delivery cost without a second entry.

03

PTO policies, entitlements and approvals

Set the entitlement for annual, sick, casual, probation and unpaid leave once for your organisation, route requests to an approver role or the reporting manager, and let members see their balance before they ask. One holiday calendar keeps the maths right.

04

Biometric device import

Offices with a fingerprint or card device upload its export as a .csv or .xlsx file and map each device PIN to a member once; later imports recognise them. Device punches and browser clock-ins end up in the same attendance record.

05

Optional screenshots with capture health

Organisations that need it can switch on activity screenshots at an interval they set, with exceptions per person. A “Not being captured” list names anyone who is checked in but producing no screenshots, and why — declined the screen-share prompt, stopped sharing, or capture failed — so a thin day is never mistaken for an idle one.

06

Attendance and leave reports

Attendance and leave reports per member, team and period. Long date ranges export in the background and arrive in a downloads tray instead of timing out on the page.

Who it's for

Teams that get the most from AMS

Remote and hybrid teams
Idle detection and optional activity screenshots for teams that bill or report on hours.
Managers approving time off
An entitlement per leave type and approvals by role or reporting manager, so a request lands with the right person with the balance already worked out.
Operations and finance
Attendance reports and project-level time entries that feed delivery costing without a re-key.

What people ask

  • “How much annual leave do I have left?”
  • “Request casual leave for next Friday — family event.”
  • “Show me the leave requests waiting on my approval.”

Your day, your timesheet, your attendance for any range — hours worked and in the office, by project and by day — and your leave balance and requests, with requesting and cancelling leave. Approvers can also see and decide their team’s leave requests and read a team attendance summary.

AMS FAQ

Questions about AMS

Does AMS work for remote employees?

Yes. Clock-in is in the browser, inactivity can pause the clock automatically if you switch it on, and organisations can optionally enable activity screenshots for remote work. Nothing is installed on the employee’s machine.

Does AMS work with a biometric attendance device?

Yes, by file import. Export the punches from the device’s own software as a .csv or .xlsx file, upload it in AMS and map each device PIN to a member once. It is an import you run, not a live connection to the device.

Can time-off rules differ by team or country?

Not within one organisation today: entitlements per leave type and the holiday calendar are set once for the whole organisation. A group whose teams or countries need different rules runs each as its own organisation, which also gives it its own database. Per-team policies are on the roadmap.

Do employees see their own attendance?

Yes. Every employee has an employee-scoped view of their own clock-ins, timesheet, leave balance and requests. They never see organisation-wide administration.

Can an AI assistant work in AMS?

Yes. Through Orbiz MCP, Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code can take 10 actions in AMS as you, with your own permissions. Your day, your timesheet, your attendance for any range — hours worked and in the office, by project and by day — and your leave balance and requests, with requesting and cancelling leave. Approvers can also see and decide their team’s leave requests and read a team attendance summary. An assistant cannot reach: clocking in or out, and the attendance timer; viewing or taking screenshots; attendance corrections and shift settings. You approve access on an Orbiz consent page, tool by tool, and can disconnect at any time.
