Cadence · Project tracking

Project boards and sprints for the whole company, without paying per seat

Plan work on boards with configurable statuses, run sprints, break issues into sub-tasks with custom fields, and discuss in comments with mentions — for every member, because seats are free. It covers what most teams use Jira for; it does not try to replicate Jira’s marketplace of add-ons.

Included in every plan. No per-seat charge, no per-tool upsell.

What you can do

What Cadence does

Plan and ship work on boards and sprints, without paying per seat for a second tool.

01

Projects, boards and statuses

Every project has its own board and its own set of statuses. Scrum projects work in sprints; kanban projects flow continuously.

02

Issues, sub-tasks and custom fields

Issues carry type, priority, assignee and the custom fields your team defines. Sub-tasks keep big pieces of work visible as one item on the board.

03

Comments, mentions and history

Discussion stays on the issue. Mentions notify the right person, and the activity history answers “who changed this and when”.

04

Workload and delivery reports

Team workload and delivery reports show who is over-committed and what shipped, per sprint and per project.

With your AI assistant

Ask Claude or ChatGPT to do it in Cadence

Connect an assistant through Orbiz MCP and it works in Cadence as you, with your permissions and nothing more.

What people ask

  • “Report a bug in ORB: exporting an empty month gives a 500 on staging, with the steps I just described.”
  • “Turn these meeting notes into issues in the WEB project and put them in the next sprint.”
  • “Close ORB-142 with a comment saying it shipped in today’s release.”

Projects, sprints, issues and comments: list and search them — a whole sprint with descriptions and comments in a few calls — create, update, move and close issues, report a bug, comment, open an issue’s attachments (screenshots as images, small logs as text), and create, start and complete sprints.

Cadence FAQ

Questions about Cadence

Is Cadence a replacement for Jira?

For most internal teams, yes: projects, boards, sprints, issues, sub-tasks, custom fields, comments and reports are all there, with no per-seat price. It does not aim to replicate Jira’s marketplace of add-ons.

Where do projects come from?

Projects are created and owned in Trackline, the platform’s delivery portfolio, and mirrored into Cadence. That keeps one list of projects across boards, time logs and reporting.

Can we run both scrum and kanban?

Yes. Each project chooses its method. Scrum projects plan in sprints that can map to Trackline milestones; kanban projects track work continuously.

Can an AI assistant work in Cadence?

Yes. Through Orbiz MCP, Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code can take 18 actions in Cadence as you, with your own permissions. Projects, sprints, issues and comments: list and search them — a whole sprint with descriptions and comments in a few calls — create, update, move and close issues, report a bug, comment, open an issue’s attachments (screenshots as images, small logs as text), and create, start and complete sprints. An assistant cannot reach: deleting issues, sprints or projects; board, workflow and custom-field configuration. You approve access on an Orbiz consent page, tool by tool, and can disconnect at any time.
