Orbiz AMS vs Connecteam

Prices checked

Connecteam is built for staff who work from a phone: a time clock with GPS and geofences, shift scheduling, forms, chat and training, sold per hub at a flat price for the first 30 users — Operations Basic is $29 a month billed yearly — and free for teams of up to ten. AMS is the attendance tool inside Orbiz for teams at a desk: browser clock-in, typed breaks, idle rules, timesheet approvals, leave and biometric imports, feeding payroll in Ledgr. Pick Connecteam for field and shift workers. Pick AMS if attendance must run payroll and hiring on the same login.

FAQ

Orbiz vs Connecteam: what people ask

Connecteam is free for ten users. Why pay for Orbiz?

If you are ten people or fewer and need a time clock, a schedule and chat, Connecteam’s Small Business Plan is the better deal. Orbiz has no free plan; it is priced for a company that also wants hiring, records, payroll, projects, files and credentials on one login, at one flat price.

Does AMS do shift scheduling or GPS clock-in?

No. AMS clock-in happens in the browser with typed breaks and the project being worked on; there is no shift scheduler, GPS stamp, geofence or kiosk mode. Connecteam has all four, which is why it suits field and retail teams.

How does Connecteam pricing grow past 30 users?

Each hub is a flat price up to 30 users, then a price per extra user per month — on the Operations hub $0.80 on Basic, $2.50 on Advanced and $4.20 on Expert, billed yearly. A company buying two or three hubs pays for each one. Orbiz is one flat price per organisation, set by headcount band, from $99 a month on annual billing.
