Orbiz vs Google Chat

Prices checked

Google Chat is the chat inside Google Workspace: spaces, direct messages and Meet, paid for with the rest of the suite from $7 per user a month. Orbiz Huddl is the chat inside Orbiz: channels, threads, guests and files, included for every member in the flat price, beside the projects, people and payroll the conversation is about. Choose Google Chat if the company already runs on Gmail and Drive and wants nothing new to sign in to. Choose Huddl if chat should sit with the work rather than with the mail, and guests should cost nothing.

FAQ

Orbiz vs Google Chat: what people ask

Is Orbiz cheaper than Google Chat?

Google Chat has no price of its own; it comes with Google Workspace, from $7 per user a month on an annual Business Starter plan, which is $1,680 a year for 20 people and includes Gmail, Drive and Meet. Orbiz is one flat price per organisation: $2,388 a year for up to 25 people on annual billing, with Huddl and the other nine tools for every member. A company that needs Workspace for mail keeps paying for it either way; the comparison is about where the chat lives.

Does Huddl have video calls like Google Meet?

No. Huddl is channels, direct messages, threads, files and search in this release. Voice and video are planned for a later release; a company that meets from chat every day should keep Meet or another meeting tool beside it.

How do guests work in Google Chat and in Huddl?

In Google Chat an admin decides whether people outside the domain can be added to spaces, and they join with their own Google account. In Huddl an admin invites a guest by email to chosen huddls and channels; the guest costs nothing, sees only those channels, cannot create channels or invite anyone, and cannot reach any other Orbiz tool.
