Odoo alternatives: open-source ERPs and business suites, compared on price and fit
Zohaib KhalidPrices checked
Small businesses look past Odoo when the one free app turns into every app at a per-user price, or when configuring a full ERP is more project than they wanted. Which alternative fits depends on why you chose Odoo. If it was accounting and stock, look at the open-source ERPs that do the same without a per-user licence. If it was HR, projects and timesheets, a suite built for those may serve you with less setup. Here are both kinds, priced from each vendor’s page.
Why teams look past Odoo
Usually pricing and packaging, not the product
Odoo is an open-source business suite — CRM, sales, accounting, inventory, project, timesheets, HR, payroll, documents and website — modular and self-hostable. The reasons a team shops around are almost always about how it is sold.
- One App Free covers a single app; the moment you add a second, everyone moves to per-user pricing for all apps.
- On the US page, Standard is $24.90 a user a month billed annually for the first year, then $31.10.
- Odoo sets prices by country with no selector, so a quote can differ from what a colleague abroad sees.
- Studio, multi-company, the external API and Odoo.sh hosting sit on the Custom plan, at about twice the Standard price.

Vendor prices are US list prices in USD as published on each vendor's own pricing page on , annual billing where the vendor offers it, without first-year promotions. Each product name links to that page. Vendors change prices; if a figure here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. Orbiz prices are on the pricing page, one flat figure per organisation by headcount band.
Orbiz
What Orbiz covers — and what Odoo does that it does not
What Orbiz does for a team leaving Odoo, and the two things Odoo does that it does not. Keep both in view when you decide.
Included in Orbiz
- Employee records, departments, grades and documents, with onboarding, offboarding and probation processes
- Hiring: a careers page, a candidate pipeline, assessments and interview feedback
- Attendance, leave, timesheets and payroll, including statutory schemes, tax slabs and final settlements
- Projects, boards and portfolio profitability, plus files, a password vault, screen recording and notes
Where Odoo is ahead
- Odoo Studio for no-code customisation, multi-company and an external API on Custom
- Deployment choice — Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise — on an open-source core
If either of those is the reason you use Odoo, keep it. The case for Orbiz is the platform around the tool, not a longer feature list.
