Vault for retail & e-commerce

The marketplace login every shift needs, shared with the people who work it and not with the whole shop

An online retailer runs on a dozen shared logins — the marketplace seller account, the storefront admin, the payment provider, three courier portals — and a rota of staff who need some of them on some shifts. So the passwords are on a card by the packing bench. Vault puts them in collections shared with the named people who need them, encrypted in the browser, and records every read, so the card can go.

Included in every plan. No per-seat charge, no per-tool upsell.

In practice

What Vault does for retail & e-commerce

01

Collections per channel, shared by name

Marketplace, storefront, payments and couriers each in a collection, shared with the named members who work them — the fulfilment team gets the courier portals, finance gets the payment provider, nobody gets everything by default.

02

Encrypted in the browser, unreadable to us

Items are encrypted on the member’s device with a key derived from their passphrase; the server stores ciphertext only. The credentials to the account that takes your customers’ payments are never readable to Orbiz.

03

Escrow recovery for a busy shop floor

A forgotten passphrase is recovered through an escrow flow your admins control — no password emailed, no vault lost at the start of a shift.

04

An audit log for the day a listing changes

Every read, share and change is logged with who and when. When a marketplace listing is edited or a courier booking appears that nobody remembers, the log says who opened the credential.

One platform

Where Vault hands off for a retail team

Vault shares with the same members as every other tool, so a seasonal worker marked inactive in HRMS at the end of December loses access to every shared login in the same moment — the offboarding step that a card by the packing bench never had.

Questions retail teams ask about Vault

Can one shared login be used by several people on the same shift?

Yes. A collection shared with the members of the fulfilment team is readable by each of them, so the whole shift can open the courier portal credential. The audit log records each person’s read separately.

Does Vault fill the login into the marketplace site for us?

Not yet. Vault runs in its own browser tab with copy-to-clipboard; a browser extension with autofill is planned but not available. A dedicated password manager has autofill today, which is the honest trade-off for having the vault inside the same platform as your people.

How quickly can we revoke access when someone leaves mid-season?

Immediately. Marking the member inactive in HRMS ends their access to every shared item and every other tool at once. Rotating the credential itself is still your task, and the audit log tells you which ones they could read.
