Browser extension

A browser extension for the one-click jobs — coming soon

Capturing the page you are looking at, starting a recording without opening a tab first, filling a login from the vault: these are toolbar-button jobs. A Chrome extension is planned for them. It is not available yet — the same tasks work from the Orbiz tabs today.

Nothing to install yet — the web app already works on this device.

What we are planning

What the browser extension is planned to do

A Chrome extension for one-click screenshots, recordings and vault autofill. Coming soon — the web app does the rest today.

01

One-click screenshot of the current page

Capture the visible page or a region from the toolbar, annotate it, and get a Grabr share link without leaving the tab.

02

Start a recording from the toolbar

Begin a Grabr screen recording from any tab, with the upload continuing while you work.

03

Autofill from Vault

Fill a login from a credential you have access to, decrypted on your device, with the read written to the audit log like any other.

04

Clock in from the toolbar

A quick clock-in and break control in the extension, backed by the same attendance rules as the web app.

One platform

A surface, not a second system

The extension will use the login you already have in the browser and the same permissions. Vault autofill in particular has to keep the existing guarantee — decryption happens on your device, the server never sees a plaintext credential — and the design will not ship without it.

Browser extension FAQ

Questions about the browser extension

Is the Orbiz Chrome extension available now?

No. The browser extension is coming soon. Screenshots, recording and Vault all work today from their own tabs in the web app, so the extension adds convenience rather than capability.

Will Vault autofill weaken the encryption?

No. Autofill is planned to decrypt the credential on your device, exactly as the Vault tab does today, and to record the read in the audit log. The server will continue to store ciphertext only.

Which browsers will be supported?

Chrome is planned first. Firefox and Safari are not yet decided. Use the contact form to tell us which browser your team uses.

Want to know when the browser extension ships?

Tell us through the contact form and we will let you know when it is available. Until then, every tool works in the browser on any device.
